Wachs-Korrosionsschutz (Rust Protection Wax)

DESCRIPTION Rust Protection Wax is a solvent-containing coating material which is used as a corrosion inhibitor based on waxes, esters, resins, solvents and special inhibitors.Due to its excellent creep properties, Rust Protection Wax penetrates well into the voids which are to be protected (such as welding seams). The dry film has good adhesion and corrosion-protection properties and does not easily run out of the seams. Rust Protection Wax is therefore mainly used as a conservation aid and as a preventative measure in repair work and aftertreatment on vehicles, construction machinery and in agricultural applications.-

TECHNICAL DATA

APPLICATIONS Rust Protection Wax is predominantly used on vehicle floors but especially for the aftertreatment of all protective coatings such as those based on PVC, PVC/wax, bitumen/rubber and rubber/resin.Rust Protection Wax can also be used in the treatment of suspension parts such

as axles, wheel suspension and springs. Treatment with Rust Protection Wax provides these components with the optimum protection against corrosion.

APPLICATION Surfaces which are to be treated with Rust Protection Wax must be thoroughly cleaned beforehand. Rust must be removed. The surfaces must be dry and free of dirt and grease and extensively free of dust.

Rust Protection Wax can be applied using the UBS spray gun, Part no. 6219 or the pressure-feed spray gun, Part no. 6220 with an operating pressure of 3 bar. Shakecontents of can vigorously before use. Rust Protection Wax can be applied to
vertical surfaces in a single application. The vehicle is ready for driving after about 2-3 hours, depending on the weather conditions and coating thickness. Final through-drying takes approx. 12 -14 hours.

Note Do not spray Rust Protection Wax on mechanical joints, the exhaust, the catalytic converter or the brake system.

A blocked spray gun can cause the can to burst.The operating instructions for the spray gun must be followed.After use, clean the spray gun using the cleaner intended for the purpose.
